People Don’t Trust Google, Apple, Facebook with Mobile Payments – Study
While doing mobile payments, consumers trust credit cards sucha as Visa, MasterCard and American Express over technology brands, including Facebook, Google and Apple, according to a recent study conducted by Ogilvy & Mather.
In the study, 500 U.S. online users were asked to select as many brands as they wanted in answering the question, “Who would you trust with mobile payments?”

Google Shuts Down Google Health and Google PowerMeter Services
Google confirmed in a blog post on Friday that its two services, Google Health and Google PowerMeter are both officially dead. The Google Health and Google PowerMeter services were launched in 2008 and 2009 respectively with a hope to make a serious impact on healthcare and people’s power usage. But neither saw the level of adoption that made them worth maintaining over the long term. Google Sued by Paypal over Google Wallet Technology
Paypal sues Google claiming that Google stole its technology for turning smartphones into digital wallets. PayPal alleges that Google obtained trade secrets from Osama Bedier, a former PayPal executive who is now Google’s vice president of payments.
